About the Journal
Intelligent Computing for Energy and Environment (ICEE) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. ICEE publishes original research, review articles, and short communications at the intersection of intelligent computing and the energy and environmental sciences.
Focus and Scope
ICEE publishes original research, reviews, and short communications at the intersection of intelligent computing and the energy and environmental sciences — spanning artificial intelligence, scientific machine learning, advanced computational methods, energy systems, and environmental modelling. ICEE publishes articles online as soon as they are ready, organised into quarterly issues (March, June, September, and December).
Peer Review Process
All submissions undergo rigorous single-blind peer review, in which reviewers' identities are kept confidential. Following initial editorial screening and similarity checking, suitable manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers. On the basis of the reviewers' reports, the editor reaches a decision (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject). The Editor-in-Chief holds final responsibility for all editorial decisions.
Open Access Policy
ICEE is a fully open-access journal. All articles are made freely and permanently available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication, without subscription, registration, or payment. ICEE is committed to open access with no article processing charges (APCs) during its founding and establishment phase; this policy is subject to periodic review as the journal develops.
Licensing
Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
Archiving and Preservation
To ensure long-term availability, ICEE preserves its published content through the digital preservation systems available via its hosting infrastructure, including the PKP Preservation Network, so that content remains accessible over time.
