    Intelligent Computing for Energy and Environment (ICEE) is published by Elamena Knowledge Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17296541), whose registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Elamena Knowledge Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the journal, and is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC251216.     We collect and process the personal data you provide when you register, submit, review, or edit for the journal, including your name, email address, affiliation, country, and (where provided) ORCID iD, biographical statement, and areas of interest. For submissions, we also process the content and metadata of manuscripts, correspondence, and peer-review records.
  3. Why we process it, and our lawful basis
    We process this data to operate the journal — to manage registration and user accounts, receive and administer submissions, conduct peer review, make editorial decisions, publish accepted articles, and communicate with authors, reviewers, and editors. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in operating a scholarly journal and, where you submit or agree to review, the performance of those tasks at your request. Published article metadata (including author names and affiliations) is made publicly available as an inherent part of scholarly publishing.
  4. How your data is stored and who processes it
    The journal runs on Open Journal Systems (OJS), hosted on our behalf by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), which acts as our data processor and applies appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Access to non-public personal data is restricted to the journal's editors and administrators for editorial purposes only.
  5. Who we share it with
    The names, email addresses, and affiliations entered in this journal will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party, except that published article metadata is public and may be shared with indexing, archiving, and DOI-registration services as a normal part of scholarly publishing.
  6. How long we keep it
    We retain editorial and account data for as long as necessary to maintain the integrity and permanence of the scholarly record and to operate the journal. Published article metadata forms a permanent part of the public record.
